Common questions
What does freeze-dried mean?+
The food is frozen and the water is removed under vacuum, so nothing is cooked. Nutrients, shape and taste stay as they were. Just add water to rehydrate, or feed dry for crunch.
Is this a complete food?+
No. All Buggly jars are treats and toppers — feed up to 10% of the daily diet alongside a complete feed.
Which jar size should I start with?+
The 100 ml jar is a taster. Most single-pet homes reorder the 250 ml or 500 ml. The 1000 ml jar is for multiple pets, aquariums and aviaries.
How long does a jar last once opened?+
Keep the lid tightly closed in a cool, dry place and use within 3 months of opening. Unopened jars are best before 18 months from manufacture.
Do you deliver everywhere in India?+
Yes. Orders ship from our farm in Delhi by courier to every serviceable pincode in India, usually within 3–7 days.
Is this food for humans too?+
No. Every jar is for animal consumption only and is not for human consumption.
Where does the food come from?+
Black soldier fly larvae are raised on our own farm in Bawana, Delhi. The other products are freeze-dried at the same facility from fresh, sorted raw material.
